Hi, I’m Sarah Valladares,
Doula, Educator, and VBA2C Mama.
I didn’t plan on becoming a birthworker. I planned on having a peaceful birth with my first daughter. Instead, I had an emergency c-section and a NICU stay that left me shaken.
My second birth? Another cesarean, because I missed my doctor’s timeline.
That could’ve been the end of my story, but it wasn’t.
I spent five years studying natural birth, holistic healing, and postpartum support. When I gave birth to my third child, I labored at home, surrounded by the team I chose. Though I transferred before pushing, I got my VBAC, and a healing, empowered experience that changed everything.
I realized something important:
It’s not about a perfect birth. It’s about informed, supported birth.
